Setting progressive scan for video | 3·2·1® GSX DVD home entertainment system
To change the Progressive Scan video setting:
The progressive Scan setting is only available when there is a Component cable connecting the media center to the TV. If there is a Component cable connecting the media center to the TV, Follow these steps:
Using the system console display:
- Turn the system off
- Press and hold the Store button on the media center control panel
- Within two seconds of pressing the Store button, press the On/Off button.
Note: A different option appears on the media center display each time the On/Off button is pressed - When Video appears on the display, release the Store and On/Off buttons
- Use the Volume up and volume down buttons to scroll through the Video options
- Stop scrolling when the proper selection is reached:
- For a component connection only, select NTSC COMPONENT (in North America) or PAL COMPONENT (outside North America)
- For a component connection using progressive scan, select NTSC PROGRESSIVE. For a component connection and progressive scan, select NTSC PROGRESSIVE
- When the proper choice has been made, press On/Off to confirm the selection and leave the menu
Using the on-screen menu:
- Turn the system on
- Make sure the TV is on with the correct input selected
- Press the System button on the remote
- Use the down arrow on the remote to select the "Progressive Scan" option and press Enter on the remote
- Select the "Progressive" option and press Enter
- Press Exit to leave menu
