Determine if the track or CD is in the Library.
On the remote, pressed the Stored button to select the uMusic source, then press Library button to open the uMusic menu. Search for the track or stored CD by CD title, artist, track or genre. If the CD wasn't initially recognized, it will show up as "No Label." Listen to any "No Label" albums in the Library to determine if the CD has already been stored.
For information on how to view stored CDs, see Navigating the uMusic library to locate music.

A "mix" CD burned from .mp3 files will not be recognized properly.
If a mix or compilation CD is burned as an audio disc, all information tags (artist, album, track title, etc) are lost and the system will recognize it incorrectly or not at all. To manually enter information for the CD, see Entering CD information manually.
The CD information may not be in the uMusic information database.
The database is made from lists of commercially released CDs. If the CD is an independent production, homemade or was released after the date of the last Music Information Update disc, it will not be in the database. If this is the case, the CD information will need to be manually input for the artist and track names to appear. To manually enter information for the CD, see Entering CD information manually.
