Connecting the 901 Equalizer to a stereo receiver.

The stereo receiver must have either a Tape Monitor connection or a Pre Out/Main In connection. If the receiver does not have these connections, it is not compatible.

To connect the 901s to a stereo receiver using a Tape Monitor connection, follow these steps:
  1. Connect a pair of RCA cables to the Tape out or Tape Record jack on the receiver
  2. Connect the other end of the RCA connections to the Input connection on the Amplifier side of the 901 Equalizer
  3. Connect another pair of RCA cables to the Output connection on the Amplifier side of the 901 Equalizer
  4. Connect the other end of that RCA cable to the Tape In or Tape Play connection on the receiver
  5. Connect the speakers to the Speakers A connection on the receiver using speaker wire
  6. Be sure the Tape Monitor on the front of the Receiver is activated
To connect the 901s to a stereo receiver using a Pre Out/Main In connection, follow these steps:
  1. Connect a pair of RCA cables to the Pre Out connection on the receiver
  2. Connect the other end of the RCA connections to the Input connection on the Amplifier side of the 901 Equalizer
  3. Connect another pair of RCA cables to the Output connection on the Amplifier side of the 901 Equalizer
  4. Connect the other end of that RCA cable to the Main In connection on the receiver
  5. Connect the speakers to the Speakers A connection on the receiver using speaker wire

Connecting 901 Equalizer to a surround sound receiver.

The surround sound receiver must have a Pre Out/Main In connection. If the receiver does not have this connection it is not compatible.

To connect the 901s to a stereo receiver using a Pre Out/Main In connection, follow these steps:
  1. Connect a pair of RCA cables to the Pre Out connection on the receiver
  2. Connect the other end of the RCA connections to the Input connection on the Amplifier side of the 901 Equalizer
  3. Connect another pair of RCA cables to the Output connection on the Amplifier side of the 901 Equalizer
  4. Connect the other end of that RCA cable to the Main In connection on the receiver
  5. Connect the speakers to the Speakers A connection on the receiver using speaker wire
