Connecting the 901 Equalizer to a stereo receiver.
The stereo receiver must have either a Tape Monitor connection or a Pre Out/Main In connection. If the receiver does not have these connections, it is not compatible.
To connect the 901s to a stereo receiver using a Tape Monitor connection, follow these steps:

- Connect a pair of RCA cables to the Tape out or Tape Record jack on the receiver
- Connect the other end of the RCA connections to the Input connection on the Amplifier side of the 901 Equalizer
- Connect another pair of RCA cables to the Output connection on the Amplifier side of the 901 Equalizer
- Connect the other end of that RCA cable to the Tape In or Tape Play connection on the receiver
- Connect the speakers to the Speakers A connection on the receiver using speaker wire
- Be sure the Tape Monitor on the front of the Receiver is activated
- Connect a pair of RCA cables to the Pre Out connection on the receiver
- Connect the other end of the RCA connections to the Input connection on the Amplifier side of the 901 Equalizer
- Connect another pair of RCA cables to the Output connection on the Amplifier side of the 901 Equalizer
- Connect the other end of that RCA cable to the Main In connection on the receiver
- Connect the speakers to the Speakers A connection on the receiver using speaker wire
Connecting 901 Equalizer to a surround sound receiver.
The surround sound receiver must have a Pre Out/Main In connection. If the receiver does not have this connection it is not compatible.

- Connect the other end of the RCA connections to the Input connection on the Amplifier side of the 901 Equalizer
- Connect another pair of RCA cables to the Output connection on the Amplifier side of the 901 Equalizer
- Connect the other end of that RCA cable to the Main In connection on the receiver
- Connect the speakers to the Speakers A connection on the receiver using speaker wire
