Low audio | Acoustic Wave® system II
If the issue only occurs with a device connected to the auxiliary input, here are some suggestions.
Try the following:
Turn up the volume of the connected device.
Set the device volume to 90–100% to send a strong signal to your product. Then, use your product to adjust the volume level.
Try playing different types of media.
Different media types might produce different quality sound. For example, MP3s, streaming media, videos, etc. can all vary in quality. Try different media to determine if the issue is specific to certain media.
If a device is connected to the TV and then audio from the TV is connected to your system, turn up both the device and TV volume controls.
Some TVs and devices have a volume control on the device or in the device menu. Be sure the device and TV volume controls are both set to the maximum. Then, control the overall volume with your Bose system. (Tip: Some TVs and devices have a volume control in their menu settings. Look in the menu for related audio/sound settings to adjust. A common setting is an audio output option that can be set to Fixed.)
Replace the cables used to connect your product
Try replacing the cables that connect your product. If no issue is heard with new cables, the first set of cables is the issue.
Try connecting a different audio device.
If available, connect another audio device using the same cables and connections to determine if the issue is related to the first device or its settings.
Determine if the problem is specifically related to bass performance.
If there is too little bass, see Too little bass or too much treble from product.
If there is too much bass, see Too much bass or too little treble from product.
Reset your product.
Much like rebooting a smartphone, your product might need to be reset on occasion to correct minor issues. For more information, see Resetting your product.
Try bypassing the Acoustic Wave Pedestal (if applicable).
If the source device is connected to the accessory pedestal, try connecting it directly to the Acoustic Wave system instead. If the sound returns, the pedestal may be the issue.
Try bypassing the Multi-Disc Changer (if applicable).
If the source device is connected to an accessory Multi-Disc Changer, try connecting it directly to the Wave system instead. If the sound returns, the issue may be with the Multi-Disc Changer.
