Keep your product within 33 feet (10 meters) of your personal device.

Distance and obstacles like walls, doors, or other electronics can weaken the Bluetooth signal. If you're having trouble, try moving your personal device and product closer together or relocating other devices that may cause interference.

Check your personal device's Bluetooth list.

Some devices (smartphones, tablets, computers) can connect to multiple audio devices but only play sound through one at a time. If another device is connected, disconnect or turn it off, then try playing your media again.

Try different media, apps, or devices.

Play audio from a different app, media source, or personal device (such as a phone, tablet, or computer) to determine if the issue is related to a specific source. If the issue is with a particular source or device, check its settings.

Reboot your personal device.

Restart your device (smartphone, tablet, or computer) by turning it off for 30 seconds and then turning it back on to fix any temporary Bluetooth or audio issues.

Reset your earbuds.

Just like restarting your phone can fix small issues, resetting your earbuds can help resolve minor problems.

  1. Place the earbuds in the case - the light inside the case should illuminate.
  2. Close the case and connect the charging case to power.
  3. Once the light on the front of the case illuminates, press and hold the button on the back of the case until the front light turns off.
  4. Remove the earbuds from the case.

Try clearing and re-pairing your earbuds.

If there’s an issue with the device memory, clearing the pairing list may help. To do this:

  1. Remove your earbuds from the paired devices list on your phone, tablet, or computer.
  2. Place both earbuds in the charging case with the lid open. Press and hold the button on the back of the case. The status light will blink blue, then blink white twice and return to blue. Once the light blinks white twice and returns to blue, release the button. This process can take up to 15 seconds.
  3. Place the earbuds back in your ears and select them from the list of available devices on your phone, tablet, or computer. Tap Pair or Connect.

Check for and install any available product updates

Regardless of the issue you are experiencing with your product, try updating it. Visit btu.Bose.com and follow the instructions to ensure your product has the latest features and enhancements.

Restore your earbuds to factory settings.

Restoring your earbuds to factory settings can help resolve persistent issues. Before doing so, remove your earbuds from your device’s Bluetooth list.

  1. Plug in the case: Use a USB wall charger (not a computer or laptop) to charge the case.
  2. Place the earbuds in the case: Ensure both earbuds are inside and keep the lid open. The light inside the case should turn on.
  3. Press and hold the button on the back of the case: The case light will blink blue, then cycle through different colors before turning off - this process can take up to 30 seconds. Once the light turns off, release the button.
    • The case light should blink white five times, glow amber, and then blink blue. When it begins blinking blue, the earbuds are ready to be re-paired with your personal device. For more details, see Connecting a Bluetooth device.
