Product will not turn on | Bose SoundLink Mini II
Connect the speaker to power for 15 minutes.
If your speaker hasn’t been used for a while, it may enter battery protection mode. To exit this mode:
- Bypass the charging cradle (if applicable) and plug a USB cable directly into the speaker. You should hear a tone from the right side of the speaker.
- Allow it to charge for 15 minutes. If using a third-party charger, ensure that the power supply provides 5 volts DC and 1.6 amps.
- After 15 minutes, press the power button to turn on the speaker and attempt to play sound, both while still plugged in and then whilst unplugged. You should hear a tone from the left side of the speaker when unplugging.
Avoid holding the Power button while powering on or off your product.
To turn your product on or off, quickly press and release the Power button . Holding the Power button, even briefly, checks the battery charge level, which will not turn your product on or off.
Inspect the charging port and cable
Check the charging port for any debris or damage. Ensure that the charging cable is functioning by testing it with another device or using a different cable to charge the speaker.

Note: If the speaker charges only without the cradle, there may be an issue with the cradle.
If using the Bose Charging Cradle:
The bottom of the speaker may not be properly connecting with the metal contacts on the charging cradle.- Disconnect the charging cradle from power.
- Remove the speaker from the cradle.
- Check the metal contacts on both the speaker and the cradle to ensure a proper connection.
Note: If the speaker charges only without the cradle, there may be an issue with the cradle.
