Speaker placement and positioning | Acoustimass® 16 Series II home entertainment speaker system
Placement Suggestions:
Left and Right front speakers
- Place the cube speakers on line with the horizontal center of the TV screen or higher.
- Place the cube speakers 6 to 15 feet apart.
- Direct one cube of each array towards the listening area. Direct the other cube towards a wall or other direction to create reflected sound.
- The cube speakers are magnetically shielded and may be placed near a TV monitor.
- Sound from the center speaker should seem to come from the center of the TV screen.
- Place the speaker either above or below the TV, on line with the vertical center of the screen.
- Direct each cube of the array slightly away from center to create a wider area of direct sound.
- The rear (surround) speakers should be located in the rear half of the room, preferably behind the listener.
- Place the speakers at ear level or higher.
- Position one cube of the array in the general direction of the listener. Direct the other cube towards a back wall or other direction to create reflected sound.
- Place the speaker centered between the rear left, and rear right speakers.
- Aim each cube slightly away from center to create a wide area of direct sound
- Place the e Acoustimass module along the same wall as the TV.
- The Acoustimass module can safely sit on its side, but do not stand it on the end with the port or on the end opposite the port.
- Do not block the vent openings at the back of the Acoustimass module. This could cause the module to overheat.
- The Acoustimass module is not magnetically shielded, and must be placed at least 18 to 24 inches from a TV monitor.
Note: Only CRT style TVs are affected. This includes Tube style TVs and Rear Projections with CRTs
