Buttons on product do not work or work intermittently | Lifestyle® 800 system
Be sure the system turns on.
Try turning the system on using the remote control. If the remote does not work, see Product will not turn on.
Be sure the audio input cable is connected properly.
The audio input cable that connects the media center and Acoustimass module may have come loose or is connected incorrectly. For more information on system connections, see Setting up your product.
Connect the 1/8-inch plug of the audio input cable into the System Control 2 jack.
It is possible that the System Control 1 connection is bad. The System Control connections sends on/off and volume commands to the Acoustimass module. If one System Control connection works and the other does not, determine the Warranty or Rapid Response status and explain Service Options for the media center.
Try connecting the RCA plugs of the audio input cable to the Tape Record connection.
Both the Fixed and Tape Record connections output a fixed, line-level signal. If the Tape Record connection works, the Fixed connection may be faulty and might require service.
Check the condition of the cable that connects your system to the bass module / speakers.
Disconnect the cable that connects your system to the bass module (or to the speakers for Lifestyle 901 systems). Be sure the connectors at both ends of the cable are not damaged and that the cable is not bent or broken. If there is damage to the cable, replace it.
Your media center may need service.
