Setting up your product | F1 Subwoofer
Setting up your system:
- Powering on or off:
- On the back of the system, push the power switch to the desired ON or OFF position
- Connecting sources:
- Adjust the source volume control to the desired level
- Connect the source to the LINE INPUT jack(s) on the Bose system using a 1/4" or XLR cable
Note: The Input 1 & 2 jacks are combination jacks that accept 1/4" or XLR plugs - Adjust the system's VOLUME control knob to the desired level
Note: the SIGNAL / CLIP indicator (Green = Signal present; Red = Signal clipping; Off = No signal present or low signal level)
- Common setups:
- Mono:
- Connect a mixer's mono output to the Bose system's INPUT 1
- Connect the LINE OUTPUT from the Bose system's INPUT 1 to the input of a powered full-frequency speaker
- Stereo:
- Connect a mixer's left channel output to the Bose system's INPUT 1
- Connect a mixer's right channel output to the Bose system's INPUT 2
- Connect the LINE OUTPUT from the Bose system's INPUT 1 to a left side upper/full-frequency powered speaker
- Connect the LINE OUTPUT from the Bose system's INPUT 2 to a right side upper/full-frequency powered speaker the input of a powered full-frequency speaker
- Chaining systems:
- The LINE OUTPUT 1 & 2 jacks provide balanced output (1 output per channel) that can be sent to a powered loudspeaker or subwoofer
- Mono:
- SYSTEM section settings:
- FRONT LED: Choose the info displayed by the front LED in the speaker grille:
- POWER allows the front LED to indicate the system power status
- LIMIT allows the front LED to indicate when the system is limiting audio
- OFF disables the front LED
- POWER FAULT: Indicator LED showing system status (Blue = On; Red = Fault)
- LIMIT: Indicator LED lights when the system is limiting audio
- SIGNAL / CLIP: Indicator LED showing signal input level (Green = Signal present; Red = Signal clipping; Off = No signal present of low signal level)
- POLARITY: Adjusts low-frequencies for use with F1 Model 812 array:
- NORM allows normal operation / frequency response
- REV removes low-frequency overlap when used in conjunction with the F1 Model 812 array
- LINE OUTPUT EQ: Adjusts the filtering on the line output jacks:
- THRU passes the input signal to the output without filtering
- HPF passed the input signal to the output with a high-pass filter
- FRONT LED: Choose the info displayed by the front LED in the speaker grille:
