F1 Model 812 Flexible Array loudspeaker | Setting up your product
Setting up your system:
- Powering on or off:
- On the back of the system, push the power switch to the desired ON or OFF position
- Connecting sources:
- INPUT 1 (Use for microphone or line level sources)
- Set the SIGNAL INPUT switch for the source:
- Choose MIC if connecting a microphone
- Choose LINE LEVEL if connecting a mixer or audio playback device
- Connect the source using a 1/4" or XLR cable
- Note: The Input 1 jack is a combination jack that accepts 1/4" or XLR plugs
- If the source device has a volume control, adjust it to the desired level
- Adjust the system's VOLUME control knob to the desired level
Note the SIGNAL / CLIP indicator (Green = Signal present; Red = Signal clipping; Off = No signal present of low signal level)
- Set the SIGNAL INPUT switch for the source:
- INPUT 1 (Use for microphone or line level sources)
- INPUT 2 (Use for line level sources)
- Connect the source the RCA or 1/4" input
- If the source device has a volume control, adjust it to the desired level
- Adjust the system's VOLUME control knob to the desired level
Note the SIGNAL / CLIP indicator (Green = Signal present; Red = Signal clipping; Off = No signal present of low signal level)
- SYSTEM section settings:
- POWER FAULT: Indicator LED showing system status (Blue = On; Red = Fault)
- LIMIT: Indicator LED lights when the system is limiting audio
- FRONT LED: Choose the info displayed by the front LED in the speaker grille:
- POWER allows the front LED to indicate the system power status
- LIMIT allows the front LED to indicate when the system is limiting audio
- OFF disables the front LED
- EQ: Use this switch to choose the desired output equalization:
- FULL RANGE allows the speaker to function without a high-pass filter
- WITH SUB engages a high-pass filter for use with the F1 subwoofer
- LINE OUTPUT: Balanced XLR line output that provides a mix of Inputs 1 & 2. Use this to send audio to another system, including a daisy-chain of F1 systems
- Mounting the speaker:
- The bottom of the speaker includes an adapter for mounting on a tripod speaker stand that has a 35 mm pole
