Setting progressive scan for video | 3·2·1® GSX DVD home entertainment system

To change the Progressive Scan video setting:

The progressive Scan setting is only available when there is a Component cable connecting the media center to the TV. If there is a Component cable connecting the media center to the TV, Follow these steps:

Using the system console display:

  1. Turn the system off
  2. Press and hold the Store button on the media center control panel
  3. Within two seconds of pressing the Store button, press the On/Off button.
    Note: A different option appears on the media center display each time the On/Off button is pressed
  4. When Video appears on the display, release the Store and On/Off buttons
  5. Use the Volume up and volume down buttons to scroll through the Video options
  6. Stop scrolling when the proper selection is reached:
    • For a component connection only, select NTSC COMPONENT (in North America) or PAL COMPONENT (outside North America)
    • For a component connection using progressive scan, select NTSC PROGRESSIVE. For a component connection and progressive scan, select NTSC PROGRESSIVE
  7. When the proper choice has been made, press On/Off to confirm the selection and leave the menu

Using the on-screen menu:

  1. Turn the system on
  2. Make sure the TV is on with the correct input selected
  3. Press the System button on the remote
  4. Use the down arrow on the remote to select the "Progressive Scan" option and press Enter on the remote
  5. Select the "Progressive" option and press Enter
  6. Press Exit to leave menu
Note: The system does not support PAL Progressive video.
