Setting Persistent Video | Lifestyle® 18 Series II DVD home entertainment system
Setting Persistent Video.
This feature is only available when the system is connected to the TV with a VS-2 video enhancer. If no VS-2 video enhancer is connected, the Persistent Video option does not appear in the System menu. If a VS-2 video enhancer is connected, follow these steps:
The last selected external video source remains on the screen when a new audio source is selected, such as AM, FM, CD or any external input that has been set as a "Music Player" remote device type. For information on setting device type, see Programming your remote
When set to Disabled:
The video screen goes blank when a new audio source is selected.
Note: For media centers with SW 030200 or newer, devices such as Apple TV and iPod docks are considered music players under device type. The codes for these devices disable persistent video and pass the video output of the device.
- Be sure the TV is on with the correct input selected
- Press the System button on the remote
- Press the right arrow on the remote to select the Video icon
- Press the down arrow on the remote to highlight “Persistent Video�
- Press the right arrow on the remote to highlight the setting
- Press the up or down arrows on the remote to select the appropriate setting:
- Disabled - Removes video from your TV screen when switching from the current video source to an audio source
- Enabled - Allows the video from your selected source (DVD, CBL-SAT, VCR, AUX or TV) to continue to play on your TV screen (without audio) after switching to an audio source
- Press the Exit button to save the setting and leave the menu
