Do you want to reset your product or restore its default settings?

  • Reset: A reset corrects minor processors errors. Unless indicated otherwise, product settings are not lost during a reset.
  • Restore factory settings: This resets your product to its factory default configuration. Unless indicated otherwise, all settings are cleared and reverted to their original out-of-box state. After, your product can be configured as if it were being setup for the first time.

Reset your control console and display panel by following these steps:

  1. Turn the control console off
  2. On the control console, press and hold Power for five seconds
The red LED on the control panel will turn off
  3. Release the Power button
  4. Press Power again, the system will reboot
  5. Retest the system
Note: It is not necessary to remove the power cord from the control console or monitor

Reset the SoundTouch adapter.

SoundTouch settings are not lost during a reset.
  1. On the back of the system console, disconnect the SoundTouch adapter from the Bose link and USB jacks.
  2. Wait 1 minute, then reconnect the adapter.
  3. Once the light glows solid on the adapter, resume normal use.

To restore the factory default settings:

Note: With the exception of the ADAPTiQ audio calibration settings, this reset erases all settings and returns your system to its default out-of-box state.
  1. Power off your system.
  2. On the back of the system console, disconnect the power cord.
  3. On the front of the system console, simultaneously press and hold the Source and the Volume - buttons and, while holding them, reconnect the power cord.
  4. Continue holding the buttons until the Bose logo appears twice on the TV screen.
  5. Re-pair the remote control with your system. For more info, see Pairing the remote control to your system.

Restore the factory default settings of the SoundTouch adapter.

  1. Power on your Bose system
  2. On the back of the system console, disconnect the SoundTouch adapter from the Bose link jack
  3. If connected, disconnect the Ethernet cable from the adapter
  4. On the back of the adapter, press and hold the Control button and, while holding it, reconnect the Bose link cable to the system console
  5. After about 5 seconds when the light on the adapter begins blinking white, release the Control button
  6. Wait until the light on the adapter glows solid amber
