Resetting your product | SoundLink® Air digital music system
Do you want to reset your product or restore its default settings?
- Reset: A reset corrects minor processors errors. Unless indicated otherwise, product settings are not lost during a reset.
- Restore factory settings: This resets your product to its factory default configuration. Unless indicated otherwise, all settings are cleared and reverted to their original out-of-box state. After, your product can be configured as if it were being setup for the first time.
To reset your product:
If connected to AC power:
- Close any open AirPlay streaming apps on your mobile device or computer
- Disconnect the power cord from your product and AC outlet, and slide the AC clip off of the power supply
- If a USB cable is connected to your product, disconnect it
- Wait 30 seconds, the reattached the AC clip and power cord
If connected to AC power with the accessory battery attached:
- Close any open AirPlay streaming apps on your mobile device or computer
- Disconnect the power cord from your product and AC outlet, and slide the AC clip off of the power supply
- Disconnect the battery pack from your product
- If a USB cable is connected to your product, disconnect it
- Wait 30 seconds, the reattached the AC clip, power cord and battery
If connect to battery power:
- Close any open AirPlay streaming apps on your mobile device or computer
- Disconnect the battery pack from your product
- If a USB cable is connected to your product, disconnect it
- Wait 30 seconds, the reattached the battery
To restore the factory default settings:
Note: This reset erases all settings and returns the speaker to its default out-of-box state. To reconnect the to Wi-Fi after the reset, see Connecting to a Wi-Fi network.
- Disconnect power for 30 seconds:
- On the back of the speaker, disconnect the power cord.
- If the accessory battery pack is connected, disconnect it as well.
- Reconnect power.
- On the bottom of the speaker, press-and hold-the Reset button for 15 seconds until the Wi-Fi LED turns off.
- Wait for the reset to complete. The Wi-Fi light blinks amber when finished.
If the light does not blink amber, be sure the speaker is not selected in any AirPlay device menu. - If the accessory battery pack was previously connected, reconnect it.
