Updating the software or firmware of your product | Lifestyle® 650 home entertainment system
To update the system, connect it to the Internet.
When connected to the Internet, the system checks for updates upon each use (unless the Auto Update setting was changed to Off):
- If an update is available, the system will automatically download it. When turning off the system, an on-screen message will appear stating an update is ready to install
- If the Bose remote control is able to control your system, it will also be updated during the installation. While updating, the remote will be unusable for about one minute
- Be sure the bass module and wireless surround speaker receivers are connected wirelessly before updating. If the bass module is using a wired connection, it will not update

- A message will appear stating "Your system is up to date" or "An update is available. Install Now?".
- If an update is available, select Yes to install the update, otherwise select OK.
