Lifestyle® 35 Series II DVD home entertainment system | Using another remote to control your Bose system
To teach a learning remote the remote commands for your system:
This information explains how to set up the system to teach another remote for operation of the main speaker system. If you have one or more expansion zones connected to your system, commands for those zones or a second audio stream cannot be taught to a learning remote.- On the remote control, press the System button. If the system menu does not appear on your TV, be sure the correct TV input is selected.
- Scroll right to Remote Control, then press the Enter button.
- Scroll down to IR Control, then press the Enter button.
- Scroll up to Teach, then press the Enter button.
- Connect the IR emitter to IR jack on the back of the system console.
- Face flat side of the emitter at the sensor on the learning remote.
- Follow the instructions for the learning remote to teach it commands.
- Once complete, return to your system menu and set IR Control to On.
- Press the Exit button to exit the menu.

The Lifestyle DVD media center houses four IR emitters positioned at various angles below the disc tray behind the plastic panel. An IR receiver is also located in the same area. The plastic panel does not impede with the IR signals passing to and from this location
