Which version of uMusic is the system running?
uMusic
Presets:
The uMusic system has nine presets. When you first press the Stored button on the remote, the uMusic system selects Preset 1. To use a different preset, press any number 1 through 9. The media center displays "P" and the chosen number. The uMusic system keeps track of each preset user's likes and dislikes. Each family member using the system should have an individual preset. You can also assign a preset to provide music for specialized activities, such as dining or exercising.
Press the Rating – button to make a song (and songs like it) less likely to play in the current preset. (Pressing the minus button does not delete a song or exclude it from playing in this preset.)
Press the Rating + button to make a song (and songs like it) more likely to play in the current preset.
Skipping a song also influences the uMusic system, though not as strongly as pressing the Rating – button. The amount of the effect is related to how long you allow the song to play before skipping it.
By using an exclusive preset, each listener helps the uMusic intelligent playback system distinguish individual reactions to what it plays. Consider each preset a center point for that person's musical taste. Over time, the center may shift, as changes in taste and listening habits are noted by the preset.
No preset is locked into its assignment. At any time, you can completely clear the memory of a Stored Music preset, then reassign it to another person or purpose. It is strictly your choice. uMusic is always learning.

Playlist:
Playlist is a uMusic mode that lets you to play a group of songs in a specific order. It is similar to a traditional playlist on other media players. You may assign individual songs, whole albums, or artists to the Playlist. To enter Playlist mode, press the "Playlist" button on the remote. The Playlist appears on the media center display. To exit Playlist mode, press the "Playlist" button again.
The song list can not be viewed unless the the playlist is active and being played.
The system allows for only one playlist.
Note: uMusic is learning while in Playlist mode. Pressing the Rating + and – buttons and playing or skipping songs will apply ratings to the currently selected preset.

Encore:
When you select Encore, the next song played will be very similar to the song that is currently playing. Encore is more specific than uMusic. The uMusic mode "learns" to play a wide variety of songs, such as ballads of any genre. However, Encore only plays songs of a particular genre or subgenre. To enter Encore mode, press the Encore button on the remote. Encore will appear on the media center display. To exit Encore mode, press the Encore button again.

Whole CD:
When you select Whole CD, the entire CD from which the currently playing track originated plays, starting from its beginning. To enter Whole CD mode, press the Whole CD button on the remote. "Whole CD" will appear on the media center display. To exit Whole CD mode, press the uMusic button.

Whole CD:
When you select Whole CD, the entire CD from which the currently playing track originated plays. It will finish the current song, then start the CD over from the beginning. When that track comes up, it will be skipped. To enter Whole CD mode, press the Whole CD button on the remote. "Whole CD" will appear on the media center display. To exit Whole CD mode, press the uMusic button.
