Changing house code settings | Lifestyle® 800 system
To change the House Code:
- Power off your system
- On the back of the remote control, remove the battery cover
- Above the battery compartment, use a small utensil (i.e. paperclip or pen) to change the positions of the first four switches. These switches are the House Code
Tip: If there a piece of film covering the switches, remove and discard it - Replace the battery cover
- On the system console, press and hold the Store button and, within two seconds, press any button on the remote: Two dashes blink on the system console and then stop when a remote button is pressed
- Release the Store button
Note: If you have more than one remote for your system, match the House Code switch positions on all remotes to the new setting.
To change the expansion remote house code setting, follow these steps:
Determine the house code of the system:
- Turn the Lifestyle system off
- Remove the battery cover from the back of the main room remote and locate the eight switches above the battery compartment
- Record the position of the first four switches using a push pin, paper clip or pen. The position of these switches determines the house code setting
- Remove the battery cover from the back of the remote and locate the eight switches above the battery compartment
- Change the position of switches 1, 2, 3 and 4 using a push pin, paper clip or pen to match the position of the switches on the back of the main room remote. There may be a clear plastic strip covering the switches. This can be removed and discarded
- Switch 6 should be set in the up position and switches 5, 7, and 8 should be set in the down position
- Replace the battery cover
- Verify the remote works
