Turning the system on or off | Bose Portable Smart Speaker
To turn the speaker on or off:
Using the speaker
- Press the Power button to turn the speaker on
- Briefly press the Power button to put the speaker into standby mode. When connected to a Wi-Fi network, standby mode stops audio playback but allows the configured voice assistant to listen for its wake word. The speaker transitions to standby mode when audio has stopped and you have not pressed any buttons or accessed your voice assistant for 20 minutes. If the speaker is not charging and is not low on power, the white light below the power button will dim
- Press and hold the Power button until the speaker plays descending tone to turn the speaker completely off. The light below the power button will turn off
Using the voice assistant
- When the speaker is on and you've added a voice assistant for the speaker, you can ask the assistant to turn off the speaker
- When the speaker is in standby mode, you can ask the assistant to play music or a station from a specific audio service
Usng the Bose app
- In the Bose app, if the speaker you want to turn on or off is shown, tap the Power button
- If the image is a different product, tap the My Bose icon
in upper-left corner, select the speaker to turn on or off, then tap the Power button
