Phone does not ring through the headset | Bose QuietComfort 45 headphones
Confirm the headset is connected to the Bluetooth® device.
Power on the headset, then press any button to view the Bluetooth and battery lights. If the Bluetooth light is flashing or not lit, the headset is not connected. Try reconnecting the headset in the Bluetooth settings of the device. If is still doesn't connect, see Cannot connect a Bluetooth® device.
Raise the ringtone volume on the phone.
The headset will provide an incoming, two note ringtone if a specific ringtone (i.e. audio clip) is not sent to the headset from the phone or is not supported by the device followed by a voice prompt of the caller ID (if enabled in the headset) Be sure the ringtone volume setting is not too low or muted. On some phones, ringtone volume can only be adjusted when no other audio is playing through the phone, while on others it can only be change through a settings menu
Be sure your product is within 33 feet (10 meters) of the Bluetooth® device.
Bluetooth range is about 33' (10 m). This range can be reduced by obstacles (i.e. walls, doors, pockets, nearby Bluetooth devices, etc.). Try moving the device and product closer together.
Reboot the connected device.
Electronics might need to be reset from time-to-time—much like rebooting a computer. Power off the device, then power it back on and try again.
Try connecting a different Bluetooth® device.
If your Bose product can connect to another device, Bluetooth functionality is working. In cases like this, the issue could be with the first device or its settings.
Document the manufacturer, model number and any software information of the phone in the Service Request.
Document the issue and the type of phone that the customer is using with the product, including any specific phone applications encountering the issue.
