No audio in one ear | Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II
Ensure your earbuds are properly seated and fully charged.

If the issue persists, refer to Wearing and adjusting your earbuds or Earbuds will not turn on for further guidance.
If you're using one earbud, make sure your firmware is up to date.
If you cannot hear sound when using only your left earbud, your firmware might need an update. When the product was first released, only the right earbud could be used on its own.
Useful information:
• To use the left earbud on its own, update to version 1.3.26 or higher.
• The right earbud has the microphone, so be sure to use it for phone calls.

Restart your personal device (Phone, Tablet, Computer)
Electronics may need a reset to resolve minor issues. To do this, power off the device completely, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on. This process can help refresh the connection and resolve any potential issues.
Try resyncing the earbuds.
- Check Contacts: Inspect the charging contacts on both the earbuds and the case for any debris.
- Insert Earbuds: Place both earbuds into the charging case. If the light inside the case doesn’t turn on, press down gently on the earbuds to ensure a proper connection.
- Close Case: Close the lid of the case and wait for the front light to turn off, then reopen the case.
- Test Audio: Put the earbuds in your ears. After a few seconds, you’ll hear battery prompts, and then you can start using them.
Try disabling Auto Play/Pause.
Your earbuds use in-ear detection to sense when you’re wearing them. If the ear tips and stability bands don’t fit well, playback may stop. Disabling this feature can help determine whether they fit poorly or need replacing.
- Open the Bose app and select your earbuds.
- Tap the Settings
icon in the top-right corner of the app.
- Scroll down and tap In-Ear Detection.
- Tap the slider next to Auto Play/Pause. The slider will turn gray, indicating that the feature has been disabled.
If audio returns after disabling this feature, perform an earbud seal test to check the fit. For more information, see Wearing and adjusting your earbuds.
Reset your product.
Much like rebooting a smartphone, your product might need to be reset on occasion to correct minor issues. For more information, see Resetting your product.
