Updating Your Earbuds | Bose QuietComfort Earbuds
Important info about your earbud update:
To get the latest update, make sure your earbuds are connected to your phone or tablet through the Bose QCE app
The update might take up to 45 minutes, but it usually finishes much faster.
You can keep using your earbuds during the update. If you stop using them, the update will pause and pick up where it left off the next time you use them.
How to update your earbuds
Things to know
- If your earbuds are powered off while updating, the update will resume when they are powered on again and connected to the app
- It is recommended to keep Bose QCE app notifications enabled so you are aware when an update is available
Installing an update
- When an update is available, and the Earbuds are powered on and connected to the Bose QCE app, the main screen of the app shows New Update Available.
- Press the "New update available" banner, then Start Update.
- Press Start to begin downloading the update. If you were playing audio, the audio will pause during the update process. Do not put the earbuds back in the case.
- Once the update has downloaded, it will install.
- Once installed, the earbuds will reboot.
- Once the earbuds power back on, the app will confirm the update was successful. Press Done. You can now continue using them or return them to the charging case.
