Turning your product on or off | Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (2nd Gen)

To power your headphones on or off:

Power on

After a few seconds, you hear a tone, and a voice prompt announces the battery level. The status light glows according to the current charge level.

  • When you power on the headphones and hear the tone, the audio is personalized to your ears for the best audio performance
  • The headphones must be on your head for the voice prompt to play.

Power off

Press and hold the Bluetooth/Power button until you hear a tone and the status light blinks white twice.NOTE: When the headphones are powered off, noise cancellation is disabled.

Disconnecting from Devices

When you take the headphones off they’ll disconnect from your devices:
  • after about 3 seconds if placed flat or put in the case
  • after 10 minutes if you set them down in another position
To reconnect, simply put them back on your head.

Sleep Mode

To save battery, the headphones automatically enter sleep mode: 
  • after 20 minutes if placed flat or put in the case
  • after 10 minutes in any other position

To wake them, just put them on again or press and release the Bluetooth/Power button.

Notes

  • If you power the headphones off using the Bluetooth/Power button, press that same button to turn them back on.
  • If the battery is completely drained, recharge the headphones and then press the Bluetooth/Power button to power on.
