Check your headphones are charging properly

Charging Status Light

Check the LED on the headphones.
  • Amber (Solid): Charging
  • White (solid): Headphones are fully charged

If the light does not appear, follow these steps:

Cable & Adapter Checks

  1. Verify the USB cable is correctly aligned with the charging port.
  2. Secure both ends of the cable.
  3. Test with another USB‑C cable.
  4. Try a different wall charger or power adapter.

Environmental Factors

Environmental Conditions

  • If exposed to extreme hot or cold, let the headphones return to room temperature before charging.

Make sure the headphones are not in auto-off mode

The headphones use built‑in sensors to detect when they’re being worn. When you remove them and they remain unused for 5 minutes, they automatically enter sleep mode to conserve battery.

To wake the headphones, simply put them back on or press any of the following:

  • Bluetooth/Power button
  • Multi‑function button
  • Volume strip

If the headphones remain inactive for 24 hours, they automatically power off. To turn them back on, press the Bluetooth/Power button.

Note: You can change the auto‑off settings in the Bose app under Settings.

Reset your headphones:

Resetting the headphones resets the product controls and reboots the headphones, but it does not erase any device settings.

  1. Remove the headphones from your device’s Bluetooth list.
  2. Connect the small end of the USB cable to the USB‑C port on the left earcup.
  3. Press and hold the Bluetooth/Power button.
  4. While holding the button, connect the other end of the USB cable to a USB‑A power source (such as a computer or wall charger).
  5. Release the Bluetooth/Power button once the USB cable is fully connected.
  6. When the reset is complete, the status light blinks white for 3 seconds, then glows according to the current charge level

Your headphones need to be replaced.

If the steps above did not resolve your issue, your headphones need to be replaced. Click START A REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT below to begin the process online — the fastest and easiest way to get service.
