Connecting more than one pair of speakers | SoundTouch® SA-4 amplifier
Use this information to connect multiple speakers to a single speaker channel on the amp.
More than one speaker can be connected per channel provided that the speakers are wired in series or parallel based on their impedance to maintain a proper load on the amp. This type of setup will result in a lower sound output per speaker. All speakers connected this way will act in unison
Note: If multiple speakers are connected per channel and not wired appropriately, damage can occur due to an incorrect load on the amp
A common solution for this type of set up is to connect the amp's speaker outputs to an impedence-matching speaker selector that connects to the multiple pairs of speakers
Alternatively, multiple amps — each powering a single pair of speakers — can be chained together. For more information, see Connecting additional Bose SA-4 amplifiers
