Microphone picks up intermittent or choppy sound | SoundComm™ B20 headset
Plug in a different pair of headphones.
Connect another pair of headphones to the audio device to determine if the issue is with the device or its settings.
Check if the headset works while connected but powered off.
If the headset works without power, the connections are correct and the headset electronics are the issue.
Be sure the radio is within range of the base station.
The wireless radio connected to the headset has a 30 to 50 yard range from its base station. If the radio is out of range or encountering interference between it and the base station, the microphone or communication can become poor or intermittent. Try moving the radio closer to the base station.
Check the position of the microphone.
Microphone placement is important for clear communication. With the headset on your head, make these adjustments:
- Grasp the boom with your fingers and move the microphone so it is level with your mouth
- Position the microphone a 1/2" from your mouth with the Bose logo facing away from your mouth
Check to see if the sidetone can be heard clearly.
If there is no problem hearing the sidetone then the issue is not with the headset. Check the radio settings
