Microphone picks up too much sound | SoundComm™ B40 headset
Be sure the intercom is configured properly.
If the intercom is not properly configured for use with the headset, the sound level and quality can suffer. For more information, see Configuring the headset intercom gain settings.
Turn off the Acoustic Noise Reduction.
In high-noise environments or when speaking too loudly into the microphone, sound passing through the microphone can become distorted since the signal is also boosted by the active electronics in the headset
Turn off the power switch to disable ANR and use the headset passively. If the issue is resolved, use the headset passively until volume levels near the microphone are reduced

Plug in a different pair of headphones.
Connect another pair of headphones to the audio device to determine if the issue is with the device or its settings.
