Too much bass or too little treble from product | SoundDock® 10 system
If the sound lacks treble or has too much bass:
Try the following:
Adjust bass and treble controls on the connected audio device.
Many devices have sound options, like bass and treble controls or compression. Check the device menu for sound processing options and disable them. If the issue is resolved, re-add only the necessary sound options. For adjustable options, try small adjustments.
Adjust the EQ setting of the iPod.
The SoundDock 10 automatically turns the EQ of the iPod off upon docking. However, once the iPod is docked the EQ can then be changed to the desired setting.
Relocate the system to decrease bass.
Moving the system away from a wall or corner, or placing the system on or near soft surfaces, decreases bass response. The system's tone characteristics change depending on location and environment.
Try a different app.
If the issue only occurs with a particular app, it is likely related to the app or app settings.
Try connecting a different audio device.
If available, connect another audio device using the same cables and connections to determine if the issue is related to the first device or its settings.
Reset your product.
Much like rebooting a smartphone, your product might need to be reset on occasion to correct minor issues. For more information, see Resetting your product.
