Too much bass or too little treble from product | SoundDock® Portable digital music system

If the sound lacks treble or has too much bass:

Try the following:

Make sure the iPod EQ is set to "Flat" or "Off"

The iPod EQ settings affect its audio performance when connected to the Bose system. The system is designed to be used with the iPod EQ set to "Flat" or "Off." To adjust the EQ setting, scroll to the main menu and follow these steps:
  1. Select "Settings" and press the center button
  2. Select "EQ" and press the center button
  3. Select "Flat" or "Off" and press the center button
For more information, refer to your iPod user's guide.

Reposition the system to decrease bass.

Move the system away from a wall or corner to decrease bass response. The rear firing port causes system tone characteristics to change depending on location.

Try a different app.

If the issue only occurs with a particular app, it is likely related to the app or app settings.

Try connecting a different audio device.

If available, connect another audio device using the same cables and connections to determine if the issue is related to the first device or its settings.

Reset your product.

Much like rebooting a smartphone, your product might need to be reset on occasion to correct minor issues. For more information, see Resetting your product.
