Your product powers off after 20 minutes of inactivity.
If there is no audio playing and no interaction with your product, it will turn off automatically after 20 minutes.
Check to see if the connected device has a sleep or inactivity timer that is set.
Some devices have timers that can be enabled to turn the device off after a specific period of time or period of inactivity. For information on how to adjust this, see the device's operating guide.
Determine if the Auto-off setting is enabled.
The Auto-Off setting is enabled, the system will automatically turn off after 20 minutes if no audio is being played. To disable this feature, see Enabling or disabling Auto-off mode.
Check the HDMI-CEC setting of your product.
CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) is a feature that allows devices connected via HDMI to communicate with each other. However, since there are a variety of brands and models of HDMI devices, sometimes devices may not communicate as expected. For issues with audio, video, or remote control operations when using HDMI connections, try selecting a different Advanced CEC option in the Settings menu of the soundbar within the Bose app. To disable HDMI-CEC functionality of the soundbar, which would prevent it from operating other devices or responding to operations from other devices, set the option to Off. For more info, see HDMI-CEC Power and Audio Settings.
In the menu of the connected device, try disabling HDMI-CEC.
CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) allows devices to send control information (e.g. power, input switching, remote control, etc.) back and forth over HDMI. CEC implementation and capabilities can vary among different brands, which can cause various control issues. Try disabling CEC in the menu of the connected device, then try again. Depending on the brand, CEC may be labelled differently in the device menu. For more info, see Names used by different brands for CEC.
Check the power cord connections.
Make sure the power cord is firmly seated at both ends. For more info, see Connecting to power.
Remove the batteries from nearby remotes.
A nearby remote might be malfunctioning (i.e. a jammed button). Remove the batteries from other remotes in the area and check if the issue is resolved.
Reset your product.
To reset your product, power it off and disconnect the power cord for 30 seconds.
