How to Create a Group

1. Open the Bose app and tap the Group button.
   If not visible, tap the Product Control icon:
   
   If you have multiple speakers, tap the My Bose icon: , select a speaker, then tap Group.
   
2. Choose what to group:
   • Tap + Add All to group all speakers.
   • Tap + next to individual speakers under SMART SPEAKERS.
     
   • Tap + under SIMPLESYNC to add one Bluetooth product.
     First time? Tap Connect a New Product.
     
3. Tap the X in the top corner when finished.

Add or Remove Speakers from a Group

Note: Only one Bluetooth device can be grouped at a time.

1. In the app, tap the My Bose icon: , then choose the group to edit.
2. Tap Edit Group.
   If only two speakers are grouped, this button says End Group.
3. To remove a speaker, tap the checkmark next to it.
4. To add a speaker, tap + under SMART SPEAKERS.

Adjusting Volume for Grouped Speakers

Note: Bluetooth headphone volume must be adjusted manually.

1. Once grouped, a Group Volume slider appears above the individual ones.
   
   
2. • Alternatively, tap the Now Playing bar at the bottom of the Bose app.
     
   • Tap the ^ in the lower-right to expand the volume slider.
     
   • Use the Group Volume slider to control all speakers, or use individual sliders for each one.
     
   
   

Saved Groups (Starting April 9, 2025)

Save your speaker groups for easy access in the Bose app.

1. Tap Group in the app (ensure the app and firmware are up to date).
   
   
2. Select Save New Group, then tap + to choose speakers.
   
   
3. Name the group and tap Create.
4. Your saved groups appear at the top of the app.
   

You can create, edit, or delete groups anytime.

Use Saved Groups with Spotify

Your Bose saved groups are also available in Spotify.

1. Open Spotify and tap Connected Devices.
   
2. Select a saved group to start playback—no need to open the Bose app.
