Resetting your product | Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar
Do you want to reset your product or restore its default settings?
- Reset: A reset corrects minor processors errors. Unless indicated otherwise, product settings are not lost during a reset.
- Restore factory settings: This resets your product to its factory default configuration. Unless indicated otherwise, all settings are cleared and reverted to their original out-of-box state. After, your product can be configured as if it were being setup for the first time.
To reset your soundbar:
- Turn off the soundbar.
- Disconnect the power cord from the soundbar or power outlet.
- If an accessory bass module or surround speakers are connected, disconnect the power cords for them also.
Tip: If accessory surround speakers are connected, disconnect power from both surround speaker receivers. - After 30 seconds, reconnect power to the soundbar.
- Wait about 30 seconds for the soundbar to reboot.
- If you disconnected power cords from an accessory bass module or surround speakers in step 3, reconnect them.
To restore the factory default settings:
This reset erases all settings and returns your product to its default out-of-box state. Once reset, open the Bose app to reconfigure your product.
- Remove the product from your Bose account. For more info, see Removing a product from your Bose account
- On the remote control, simultaneously press and hold the Play/Pause
and Volume – buttons for five seconds.
The entire light bar will blink twice and the soundbar will reboot. When complete, an amber light glows steadily in the light bar indicating the soundbar is in setup mode. - Once reset, open the Bose app to reconfigure your product. For more info, see Setting up your product.
