Adding program exceptions to a computer Firewall | SoundLink® Air digital music system

Which operating system is being used?

A Mac running OS X 10.4.6 or later

Navigate to the list of applications that are allowed incoming connections:

  1. Click the Apple icon in the top left corner of the screen
  2. In the Apple menu, click "System Preferences..."

  • Click the Security (or Security & Privacy) icon.

  • Click the Firewall tab.
    1. If the Firewall is Off, incoming connections for all programs are allowed. No further action is necessary.
    2. If the Firewall is On, click on the lock in the lower-left corner and enter the administrator username and password.
  • Click on Firewall Options...

  • In the options window that appears, be sure "Block all incoming connections" is not checked, "Automatically allow signed software to receive incoming connections" is checked, and "Enable stealth mode" is not checked.

Navigate to the list of firewall exceptions in Windows 11 by following these steps:

  1. In the search box on the taskbar, enter the term firewall
    search for firewall

  • In the search results, select Windows Defender Firewall at the top. The Windows Defender Firewall window will appear
  • Click "Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall." The Allowed Apps window will appear.

  • This screen displays those programs and services that have had Firewall exception rules applied to them.

Navigate to the list of firewall exceptions in Windows 10 by following these steps:

  1. In the search box on the taskbar, enter the term firewall

  • In the search results, select Windows Firewall at the top. The Windows Firewall window will appear
  • Click "Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall." The Allowed Apps window will appear.

  • This screen displays those programs and services that have had Firewall exception rules applied to them.
