Difficulty connecting the surround speakers wirelessly | Bose Surround Speakers
Be sure the system is able to turn on.
Try turning on the system using its remote control. If system fails to power on, see Product will not turn on.
Be sure the L and R switches are set properly on the wireless receivers.
On each receiver, be sure the L/R (left/right) switch is set appropriately. One receiver must be set to Left and the other to Right; the receivers will not work if they are set the same. Toggle the switch of the receiver to be sure it is fully set to the L or R position.
Check the color of the status LED located on the front of each rear speaker receiver.
If the LED is solid white, it is connected properly. If the LED shows another status, see Understanding LED indicator status lights and information for more info.
Reset the wireless receivers by performing these steps:
- Turn off the system.
- Disconnect the power cords from both rear speaker receivers. Wait 30 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cords to each receiver.
- Turn the system back on and confirm the status LED on the receiver turn on and stays white which indicates it has connected to a soundbar or control console.
Move wireless devices further away from the soundbar and surround speaker receivers.
To prevent wireless signals from over-powering devices next to it, be sure to keep other wireless devices at least two feet away from the soundbar and the surround speaker receivers.
Disable any "channel bonding" or "40MHz mode" on the wireless router.
The "channel bonding" mode available on 802.11n wireless routers allows for the use of more bandwidth than the Bose system is able to filter out. Turning off this mode or selecting the 20Mhz mode will allow the system to work around the Wi-Fi channel in use by the router.
