Connecting the bass module | Bose Smart Soundbar
Select whether to set up the bass module using the Bose app or the Bose remote:
Use the Bose app
To connect a bass module:
You can connect a Bose Acoustimass 300, Bass Module 500, or Bass Module 700 to this soundbar.
- Connect the bass module to an AC (mains) outlet.
- In the Bose app, tap the Settings icon
in the upper-right corner.
If a different product is shown, tap the My Bose iconin upper-left corner then select the desired product.
- Select Accessory Speakers then Add Bose Accessory Speakers.
- Follow the app instructions to complete setup.
Additional info
- Your system can connect one or two bass modules. To connect two, both must be the same model and both must be connected wirelessly
- You can connect a bass module even if Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® are disabled on your soundbar
- If the bass module is plugged in to the soundbar with a wired connection, it cannot also be connected wirelessly
- If the soundbar does not pair with the bass module, unplug the power cord from the soundbar and bass module, wait 15 seconds, then reconnect and try again
Use the Bose remote
To connect a wireless bass module:
On the remote control, simultaneously press and hold the Bluetooth and Volume down buttons for about five seconds: The soundbar light bar pulses white while connecting, then stops once connected.
