Try streaming an Internet radio station or music service to confirm the product is connected to the Internet.

The product must have an active Internet connection. If Internet services cannot be reached, see Cannot connect to Wi-Fi network.

Remove and re-add Alexa in the Bose Music app.

Open the Bose music app and remove Alexa. Then, re-add the same Alexa account. This re-links Alexa to your Bose account and can correct any issues that may have occurred between the two accounts. For more info, see Adding or removing the Amazon Alexa voice assistant.

In the Alexa app, disable and re-enable the Bose (Not for SoundTouch) skill.

To disable and re-enable the skill, open the Alexa app, select More, Skills & Games, type 'Bose (Not for Soundtouch)' into the search bar, and tap Search. Select the Bose (Not for Soundtouch) Skill for the option to 'Disable Skill' and then 'Enable To Use' afterward.

Please note: These steps align with the most current, up-to-date version of the Alexa app (IOS Version 2.2.581276.0 / Android Version 2.2.546320.0).

Check the WMM setting in the router.

Some routers (especially those with heavy traffic) may need WMM (Wi-Fi Multi-Media) enabled for optimal media streaming performance. If available, this setting can be found in the router settings menu. (It may be located in the QoS [Quality of Service] section.) However, since other factors affect how well WMM works, test performance with WMM enabled and disabled to determine the best WMM setting.
