Be sure the Bose app is up-to-date.
If the Bose app is not the latest version, it might be missing features or improvements. On your device, go to the app store, search for the app and select it. If an update is available, install it.
Determine if the Alexa account is already linked to another Bose account.
An Amazon account can only be linked to one Bose account at a time. If the Amazon account linked to your Bose account is also linked to another Bose account, you might experience errors with Alexa or be unable to add the Amazon account to your Bose account.
If you have created more than one Bose account—or if you have shared your Amazon account with others—check any other Bose accounts that you or others have and remove the Amazon account from any Bose accounts other than your main account.
If you want to share an Amazon account with users on your network (i.e. family members with separate Bose accounts but a shared Amazon account), have one user add the Amazon account and Bose products to their Bose Music account. Then, share the Bose products so other users on the network can use them. For more info, see Turning product sharing on or off.

Clear the cookies for the default web browser on your device, then try again.
When adding Alexa, the app opens your default web browser so you can log into your Amazon account. If a different Amazon account is already logged in through that browser, the browser will automatically enter login info for that account. To be sure you are logging into the correct account, clear the browser cookies. The browser will then prompt you to enter your Amazon account during setup.
Use the Google Chrome web browser and enable cookies during set up.
If the Bose app freezes after entering your voice assistant account login info, close the Bose app. Then, download and install the free Google Chrome web browser from your mobile device app store. Set Chrome as the default web browser on your mobile device, then try adding the voice assistant account again. Once added, you can uninstall Chrome and/or revert to your previous default browser.
Note: If the issue persists with Chrome, be sure cookies are enabled. In the Chrome app, go to Settings > Site Settings > Cookies and enable cookies.
