"ERROR Cannot find Acoustimass" message displayed | SoundTouch® 120 home theater system
Be sure the Acoustimass module power cord is plugged into a working power outlet.
If the outlet is controlled by a wall switch, make sure the switch is in the On position. Test the outlet with another device, such as a lamp. If necessary, plug the system into a different outlet.
Manually pair the the bass module with your system.
For more info, see Connecting the bass module.
If a USB drive is connected to the bass module, disconnect it.
If a USB drive is connected to update the bass module, be sure to disconnect the USB drive after the update completes.
Move wireless devices further away from the soundbar and bass module.
To prevent wireless signals from over-powering devices next to it, be sure to keep other wireless devices at least two feet away from the soundbar and the bass module.
Disable any \"channel bonding\" or \"40MHz mode\" on the wireless router.
The \"channel bonding\" mode available on 802.11n wireless routers allows for the use of more bandwidth than the Bose system is able to filter out. Turning off this mode or selecting the 20Mhz mode will allow the system to work around the Wi-Fi channel in use by the router.
If wireless interference cannot be avoided, use a wired connection for the bass module.
In some setups, you might not be able to reposition the bass module, Wi-Fi devices or other sources of interference to avoid wireless interference. In these situations, connect an SMB cable from the system console to the bass module. A 13 foot (4 m) cable is available to order through Bose.
