Light bar is red | Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar
The light is underneath the Microphone button.
The speaker has not encountered an error if the light is underneath the Microphone button. The microphones for voice commands are disabled. Tap the Microphone button on the top of your speaker to remove the red light and allow voice commands.
Reset your product.
Much like rebooting a smartphone, your product might need to be reset on occasion to correct minor issues. For more information, see Resetting your product.
Try the putting the speaker into recovery mode.
If the speaker has become unresponsive during or after an update, the speaker can be put in to a recovery mode to resolve the issue. For instructions, see Using Recovery mode.
Try manually installing the update.
For more info, see Updating the software or firmware of your product. The method using a computer and USB cable is quickest but the Direct IP and built-in setup network methods can be used as well. IMPORTANT: When following the update instructions, skip the step concerning putting the speaker into Setup mode as this step is not needed when the speaker is in Recovery mode. If the method chosen to update the speaker fails, try one (or both, if necessary) the remaining options.
