Unable to log in to SoundTouch account | Lifestyle® 535 series II home entertainment system

Determine if "Unable to find account" appears when attempting to log in.

If this message appears, the email address being entered as the username is not the address that was used to create the SoundTouch account. Try a different email address. If the correct email address cannot be recalled, factory reset the system and run the setup process again to create a new account with the desired email address.

Be sure the date of the device running the app is set correctly.

A device will not be able to log in to the Bose account server if its date is not set correctly. The user may also have problems access websites that use secure (https) connections until the date on the device is corrected.

Close and re-open the Bose app.

Closing an app varies by device and operating system. Common methods for mobile devices are shown below:

On iOS devices:
  1. Depending on your iOS device, either double-tap the Home button or swipe up from the bottom center of the screen to view active apps
  2. Swipe left or right to find the app you want to close
  3. Swipe up on the app to close it.
On Android devices:
  1. On the home screen, press and hold the app icon
  2. Tap App info from the pop-up that appears
  3. On the App Info screen, tap Force Stop.

Be sure the device running the Bose app is within range of the router or Wi-Fi access point.

The phone or tablet must be within range of the router in order for control commands to be sent to the system. Try moving the device closer to the wireless router. Refer to the signal strength indicator on the device to determine the quality of its Wi-Fi connection.

Make sure the home network's Internet connection is working.

Test the Internet connection by accessing the main Bose homepage at www.Bose.com from either the computer that is being used, or a different device connected to the network to determine if there is Internet access.

Reboot the device running the Bose app.

Electronics might need to be rebooted from time to time to correct minor issues. This is typically done by powering off the device completely and then powering it back on again.

Reboot your router.

Routers may need to be reset from time to time—much like rebooting a computer. Disconnect power from the router for 30 seconds, then wait for it to start up and connect. (Note: Any device connected to the Internet will be interrupted during the reset.)
