Speaker placement and positioning | Virtually Invisible® 191 speakers

Placement Suggestions:

For placement in walls:
  1. The two speakers should be a minimum of 5 feet (1.5m) apart
  2. For in-wall speakers providing stereo at the front of the room or home theater surround sound from the rear, install so each speaker grille is 4 to 6 feet (1.2m to 1.8m) from the floor for best performance
  3. For in-wall home theater front speakers, install the pair horizontally aligned with the center of the video screen
  4. The speakers should not be installed sideways in a wall
In-wall speaker placement shown along the TV's horizontal or vertical centerline

For placement in ceilings:
  1. For best in-ceiling stereo performance the speakers should each be placed an equal distance on either side of the primary listening area
  2. For best in-ceiling home theater performance place the right and left front speakers at equal distances to the right and left above the video screen
  3. The direction the enclosures face will be determined by the spacing of the ceiling joists. The speaker enclosures should be parallel to the ceiling joists

Placement Suggestions:

  1. If the speakers are used as front speakers in a home theater setup, place them at ear level, 4 to 12 feet apart
  2. If the speakers are used for the rear surround speakers of a home theater, they should be positioned behind the listeners, 4 to 12 feet apart
  3. The speakers should be placed or mounted 4 to 6 feet from the floor
  4. The speakers are magnetically shielded, and may be placed close to a TV monitor
