Remote batteries drain quickly | VideoWave® entertainment system
Do not use rechargeable batteries.
Rechargeable batteries may not charge fully after continued use. Also, some rechargeable batteries have a lower voltage output than traditional alkaline batteries which can negatively affect the performance of the device.
Be sure the remote remains still when not in use.
To preserve battery life the VideoWave remote will go into a standby state when it is not in use. The remote has an accelerometer in it that takes it out of standby when it is physically moved, so if the remote is continuously moved the batteries may drain more quickly than expected. The accelerometer is fairly sensitive and does not require much movement to engage. For example, slight vibrations in the floor that might shake a table where the remote is placed may be enough to take the remote out of standby.
